I feel like, if I was watching that episode, and analyzing it and paying attention to it, that there is a lot in there, that it is much more complicated than it is simple, and damon got rejected, because in my opinion that’s not really what happened at all, I mean, yes, in this moment when she had to say ‘who I would give the goodbye to, who do i love more’, it’s stefan because it’s been stefan for her, you know, but that’s just a moment. that’s just a moment in an episode, and it is about so much more, the show is about so much more, and the season has been about so much more, and to me, in a beautiful way, they gave them that little moment by the flashback, you know, where we are just saying ‘hey, you know what, there is so much more to this relationship that even elena knows or the audience knew’, so, it’s opened the door to continue the exploration which is life…
